Can’t give a big enough welcome to the newest bunch of misfit musicians this label has ever seen. I’m proud to welcome, Missoula based: Trans Future into the CorpoRAT Records family! Stoked to team up and bring a whole new sound to the region. They’ve been a lot of fun to get to know the last few months and have been diligently working their asses off on their debut full length album. As a former Missoula resident myself, I’m thrilled to get a chance to bridge that gap between there and Spokane for more musicians.

Self-described as New Wave Soul and Roll, Trans Future’s sound reflects the eclectic influences that warrant the inventive term, but a closer listen reveals their music is as much about what’s not there as what is. Each musician’s part is salient and distinct, but leaves spacefor the musical conversation to unfold. While space can be what makes things fall apart, the space TF creates is the architectural element that holds their music so tightly together. Space seems to come naturally to a band who formed in early 2020, masked and distanced, in the height of the pandemic.

We’re still working out the final details for their debut full length album, but we will be releasing the first single, “Just Like Me” next Friday, October 22nd. That gives you a week to prepare ahead of their first Spokane show, playing with their label mates Itchy Kitty & newer local punk friends The Dilrods. Of course it’ll be at The Big Dipper, on October 29th and I’ll be providing some Trick Or Treat bags full of crap courtesy of the label for the first 50 in attendance. I hope you all go show them some love and give their pages a follow. Got quite a bit in the works with them and look forward to sharing more with you in the next couple months.

Thanks as always to Alicia Hauff-Concert Photographer for the amazing band photos.
